What we’ll do

• Here, i'll be showing each participant how to shoot and create masterful images of the historical landmark here in LA, The Malibu Pier. First we'll all meet on the south side of the famous pier, then i'll take a few minutes to discuss a few good tips about the lighting and some camera features too. I’ll offer a few ideas of how I approach shooting pictures of the pier and get the award-winning images that I do. Then, as the sun moves across the sky towards sunset, we'll be setting up our tripods and cameras and away we go. We will be shooting various exposures and angles of the historical structure. With the biggest component of the event being that each participant will create and capture gallery-like images, not just random snap shots.

What else you should know

• Make sure you bring fully charged camera and flash batteries. A lightweight tripod and a jacket. It gets a bit cool after the sun goes down this time of the year. Also bring a beach towel and perhaps sandals or water shoes if you do not want to go barefoot on the sand.

Where you'll be

• In this experience, we'll visit the famous Malibu Pier on PCH in Malibu California. It'll be fun and we will make some awesome pictures.
